Three times a year the children return home for the holidays. Especially in their home environment it is important the children are able to apply that which they have learned in school. This is also an opportunity for them to adress subjects they otherwise would not talk about with their parents. Communication is often a problem, but during these workshops subjects such as family planning, discrimination, consent, abuse, et cetera can be adressed. During these workshops Mama Mzungu organises small events where the students can vent their problems through roleplay, singing, dancing, or anything they can think of. They are encouraged to be as assertive and creative as possible during these events.
